8 Easy Steps
Step 1 - Schedule a free consultation
Call 864-905-8809 or e-mail
me with a preferred time and I will call you. During this consultation,
I'll help you find the time consumers and automation opportunities
in your business.
Step 2 - Determine opportunities
During the consultation and followup communications, we will determine
where we can cut down on time consuming activities such as redundant
data entry, old complicated applications, manual compilation of
reports, and more.
We will also look at how we might use technology to reduce your
costs. For example, we might be able to distribute reports electronically
instead of on paper. There is also a great opportunity to cut your
advertising expenses by tieing a website and email into your entire
marketing plan.
The third opportunity is that we will look at ways we can allow
you to improve your customer experience, so your customers will
continue to do business with you rather than go elsewhere.
Since I spend the time to understand your business, you can be
sure that the custom software or database application that I build
will meet your needs. You won't find yourself trying to force your
business processes into a software program that doesn't want to
work the way you do.
Step 3 - Project Design
After we speak and I have a good feel for your needs, I will design
the database and major screens for your application. These will
be put on a special section of my website where you will be able
to see the progress and sign off on the design.
For small software development projects, I will create a proposal
free of charge; but for larger ones there will be a small charge
for this design work.
During the design phase, we will determine which technology best
suits your needs. The technology and required functionality are
the major determinants of what the project will cost. See the technology
page to get a better feel for the different options. Since I
have experience developing applications with all of these technologies,
you can be sure that you are getting what is best for your situation
and not being forced into a specific technology because that is
all the developer knows.
Step 4- Your project gets scheduled
This proposal briefly outlines the project and provides you with
a price quote. If you like the quote and the proposal, I will create
a simple agreement to ensure there is no misunderstanding on what
is being done.
Unlike most software development firms, I provide fixed price quotes
for the development of most projects. Note that these are fixed
quotes and NOT estimates. You know exactly what it will cost you
so you can avoid the expensive cost overruns that you can run into
with estimates. In the case that you are looking for someone to
work at an hourly rate or for poorly defined or large projects,
I will work for an hourly rate.
Most projects will require a small deposit. Once this deposit is
paid your project will be scheduled. This is done on a first come
first served basis.
Step 5- Watch your custom program get built online
After we speak and I have a good feel for your needs, I will design
the database and major screens for your application. These will
be put on a special section of my website where you will be able
to see the progress and sign off on the design and various stages
of development.
Step 6- Implement and test the program
Upon completion of your custom application, you will receive a
copy of the program for testing. Upon completion of testing, you
cna move the application into production.
Step 7- Enjoy the benefits of your new system
Once you have the solution up and running, you can now enjoy the
benefits of your more efficient processes. At this point, you may
decide that there are some other areas that we can target for improvement.
Step 8 - Tell all your friends and I'll work for FREE!
Once I have finished your project and you are satisfied, I am sure
you will want to tell others about me. For every referral that results
in a project, I will give you 10% of the project cost in free services.
I'm sure you'll come up with some enhancements such as added reports
to use this credit on.
